Editorial Standards & Corrections Policy

This policy explains how Virelquo selects stories, distinguishes original work from outside links, handles developing information and responds to correction or removal requests.

Ethics and independence

• Accuracy before speed: we prefer attributable, verifiable information over unsupported urgency.
• Balanced source selection: major claims should be checked against primary documents or multiple credible publishers when available.
• Non-partisan curation: political preference does not determine placement. Public impact, timeliness, source strength and explanatory value do.
• Clear attribution: external headlines link to their publishers and are not presented as Virelquo reporting.
• Editorial independence: advertisers do not approve or dictate editorial conclusions.

Story selection and updates

Editors assess recency, public impact, audience reach, urgency, source quality and whether Virelquo can add useful context. Developing coverage is labeled, publication times are displayed when available, and material changes to original articles should update the reviewed date or correction note.

Corrections and removal requests

1. Submit the page URL, disputed statement or listing, supporting source and requested change through the Contact & Corrections form.
2. The editorial desk logs the request and aims to complete an initial review within two business days. Complex or incomplete requests may require additional time.
3. We compare the request with the cited source, primary evidence and the current live page.
4. If an error is confirmed, we correct, clarify, reclassify or remove the affected material and update the review date when appropriate.
5. If the issue originates in an externally hosted article, we can correct Virelquo’s attribution or listing, but the original publisher controls its article.

Virelquo does not charge for corrections or legitimate removal reviews. An initial-review target is not a guarantee of final resolution within that period.

AI-assisted work

Automated systems and AI tools may assist discovery, organization or drafting. A human editor remains responsible for source review, attribution, clarity and publication decisions. Original articles disclose AI assistance where applicable.

Conflicts and sponsored material

Sponsored material, if introduced, will be clearly labeled. Financial or personal relationships that could materially affect an original article should be disclosed within that article.
